Song Lyrics By David T Rolleston (EZ Lyrix)
David T Rolleston is the EZ Lyrix Lyricist:
- David T Rolleston must be listed in all publications and song material as the songs "lyricist"
- The lyrics may not be published until a "Royalty & Copyright Agreement (RCA)" has been formalized (agreed to and endorsed) by David T Rolleston and other co-writers, authors & composers who collaborated in the "joint work".
- The lyrics may not be altered in any way without the express consent of David T Rolleston.
- Once you accept David T Rolleston's
lyrics as part of your song, your song automatically becomes a "Joint
Work" and David T Rolleston becomes a "Co-writer" of the song.
- From that point on, if any or all of the lyrics are altered or removed (in the case of an instrumental version of the song being created), David T Rolleston,
as a "partner in the original joint & co-written work", remains entitled to an equitable share of royalties, revenue and acclaim that the song generates, till such time as he sells, transfers or gives up those rights.
Royalty & Copyright Agreement (RCA)
- IMPORTANT: Once you accept EZ Lyrix lyrics as part of your song, EZ Lyrix's David T Rolleston automatically becomes a "co-writer" and the song automatically becomes a "joint work" under international Copyright law.
- EZ Lyrix's David T Rolleston is thereafter entitled to an equitable share of any royalties, revenue and acclaim that the song generates, till such time as he sells, transfers or gives up those rights.
- In the case that there is one music composer, the royalty share will be split 50/50 amongst the two parties (music composer & EZ Lyrix's David T Rolleston)
- In the case that there is more than one music composer the royalty share will be split equitably amongst the parties (music composers & EZ Lyrix's David T Rolleston)
- David T Rolleston must be listed on all published material as the song's lyricist, for perpetuity (except in the case where the lyrics ownership and rights are sold to another party as per a "Lyrics Ownership Agreement (LOA)", are transferred or given up)
- In the case of an instrumental version/s of the song being created (i.e. if any or all of the lyrics are altered or removed in those versions) the same applies.
Joint Work / Co-writer & Copyright Law
What do the terms "Joint Work" & "Co-writer" mean under the Copyright Law?
- A work prepared by two or more writers, authors or composers.
- With the intention that their contributions be merged into inseparable or interdependent parts.
- Of a unitary whole
- So, once you accept David T Rolleston's lyrics as part of your song, your song automatically becomes a "Joint Work" and David T Rolleston becomes a "Co-writer" of the song.
- From then on, David T Rolleston, as a "partner in a joint & co-written work", is entitled to an equitable share of royalties, revenue and acclaim that the song generates, till such time as he sells, transfers or gives up those rights.
